This is a stunning Boulder Pipe Opal from Outback Queensland, Australia and weights in at 31.4 carat. Boulder Pipe Opal is crystal opal found often in long pipe like cylinders of ironstone, sandstone & petrified wood. Most pipe opal has green to blue fire colours but this stone also has a beautiful streak of sunset orange as well. I have set the stone in an elegant chunky Sterling silver frame that is deliberately understated to let this amazing opal do all the talking.
On the reverse, I have created a complementary design which allows parts of this lovely stone to be visible.
I always buy my Boulder Opals direct from the mines in Australia. I absolutely love that each stone is individual and completely unique in it’s combination of shape, colours, patterns and brightness.
Every element of this boulder pipe opal pendant has been handmade by myself from scratch, other than the stone itself. It comes with a Sterling silver necklace of which you can choose either 16 or 18 inch length.
