Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold Anemone Pendant – 5 Silver and Gold Clusters

Each Anemone pendant I create starts with a single Sterling silver cluster made up of eight petals surrounding a central stalk, which is topped with a 9-carat gold ball. The result has a lovely resemblance to an anemone flower.

For this design, I’ve brought together five of these clusters, arranging them into a circular wreath. They’re carefully soldered in place on the reverse side onto a Sterling silver ring. One of my favourite unexpected outcomes is the small flower shape that naturally forms in the centre from the negative space – completely unplanned, but it adds a lovely detail to the overall design. The piece feels organic and freeform, yet there’s a sense of structure in how the gold balls are spaced evenly. I’ve chosen to use two jump rings instead of a traditional bail to echo the pendant’s round form.

Each pendant is individually made, so no two are exactly alike. This collection has been a rewarding creative process—as I add more clusters, the design continues to evolve, often in surprising and beautiful ways.
